The Score is 3-3

It is starting to feel like everything is coming together. At least in the living room, our bedroom and the office. The office has actually morphed into the "dressing room" as Scott calls it since our big closet is in there, our dresser is in there and that's basically where we get dressed. It's become a bit of a suite off of our room which is kind of cool.

But we're having no luck with the dining room, kitchen, and bathroom. What a mess! The dining room is the biggest challenge right now which was a surprise. First we had to take down the paneling. But we revealed not one, not two, but three layers of wallpaper underneath. Taking it down has done some damage to the drywall. We made the mistake of thinking that we could just scrape what was visibly peeling and sand the rest. Bad idea! We ended up with a house full of pink dust - I mean dust EVERYWHERE! And when we put the primer on, the remaining wall paper began to peel. So then we had to go through and take off all of the wall paper now some caked with paint! We're finally down to the drywall and hoping we can smooth it out with minimal sanding and then prime again.

Photos above are the dining room before with paneling and seller's stuff. Notice the windows boarded up! Next is what the room looked like after we removed the paneling, and finally, a close-up of the wall paper. How many different patterns can you spot?
We'll see how it goes!
