We closed on our house last week and planning for the remodel is in full swing! We are hoping to do as much as possible in the first six months. Are we crazy? You bet. The important thing to remember here is that we are doing a very low budget remodel with simply making the house livable as the goal. It would be great to have custom designed cabinets and add on a master suite, but that will all have to wait. Right now it's all about new inexpensive flooring, getting rid of the wood paneling and dark walls with some bright paint, and some basic kitchen and bathroom furniture and fixtures. Ikea, here we come!
