We've started working on our dining room bird collage mentioned in the last post. Of course being us, we had to do it on the cheap, so we set out to make the biggest impact on the smallest budget.
First we ventured over to the dollar store to see if they had any nice frames. We were stoked to find cute, black, cream matted frames for - you guessed it - $1 each. We snagged 9 of them and headed home.
I had to do some digging, but I found an old Audubon book. We flipped through and with the help of a bird watching website's Southern California page, chose birds we've seen in our yard or in the river that borders our property and came up with a cute selection.
Next we hit Kinko's to make some (probably illegal) photo copies in adjusted sizes. I cut them out in front of the Laker game and popped them into the frames. So far so good. Next step, we have to hang them.
