We have this bizarre structure in our yard. Well we have lots of bizarre structures in our yard, but I think this one is the worst. It's a wood-burning hot tub. In theory this would be a relaxing retreat for us and we'd use the wood cut from pruning he dozens of trees in our yard to heat the spa. But in reality, it's a total eyesore and we have never even put water in it, let along used it.

When we first looked at the house the hot tub was at the top of our WTF list and we were determined to tear it down. Not to mention the fact that it was completely surrounded by a rotting old deck, and a bunch of crap the previous owners left for us, so it was an easy decision to make.

But then we realized that it was not as old as we thought and that it had some potential. I even wrote about it here and included pictures of what the tub should look like.
Nice in theory right? But alas, we've decided to bid farewell to the old hot tub and use that space for a kitchen garden. We're planning a couple of small fruit trees and some garden beds we've been looking at in interesting shapes. We'll try to give away the hot tub, but if no one bites, it will be dismantled. So long!
