It started with every single article I read online telling me that crown molding was too difficult to DIY. Shaken, I went out to our tool shed and brought in our t-square (this one is from modernquiltlove blog since ours is older than us and simply does not photograph well). Sure enough, the corners are FAR from perfect angles. So, no DIY crown molding for us. We'll have to call someone in to help us.
On a nice note and to help deal with the crushing despair of having to continue to live with ugly paint lines, I found some really cool books in our house. In the spare room above the closet are three huge deep cupboards. We don't use them and I can't reach the back, but after the t-square debacle I was standing on a crate (yes this is what passes for a ladder at my house when Scott is not home to yell at me) and decided to see what was in there and found these adorable 1960's story books! There are 6 of them and one, Lazy Fox and Red Hen was one of my favorite stories when I was little.
I haven't posted about baby stuff for some time. But we have made progress on our goals since then. Is this supposed to be some kind of sign?
Oh...those are great books. They will be perfect in the nursery, should that day come.
