Is there anything at all wrong with fast, cheap, eco, and easy? Absolutely not. I can obtain FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified wooden countertops for a fraction of the price of just about anything else out there and they're gorgeously green. Butcher block brings a natural look to kitchens which fits right in with what we're doing, and they are easy to install. Especially when your local Ikea has them in stock and your Godfather offers to install them for you. We haven't make a final decision yet, but these pictures are helping.
I am obsessed with BBs, we don't have a whole BB countertop, but we do have one next to the sink. When granite goes out of style, I am swearing up and down and BBs will be the new thing! :)
