A Baby In The House

Having a baby in the house certainly does change a lot of things. But one of my goals before Eden was born was to incorporate her things into our home and make them a clear and present part of it without allowing them to take over. To that end we've carved out a few little nooks and places for her things. Here are some photos of how the house looks now that we're 3 instead of 2.

Kitchen counters with baby dish rack

Baby gear tucked under cooking counter

Where we store the highchair and breast pump - excuse the cords

Back when we bathed her in the sink

Bath bucket so that all of her bathtime stuff was accessible, but not out

We stored the bathtub in our tub to keep it out of the way. It also stores flat.

We started off with a swing in her decorated corner of the living room.

The we moved on to an exersaucer

I'm happy with the job we've done so far. We've been careful to keep baby gear to scale for the size of our house but still embrace the fact that Eden lives here now too and that she has her own things that need to be accessible. Wish us luck as we continue to try to maintain a decorative balance between the house and the baby!
