The bedroom was also a pretty scary space. The previous owners had a homemade bunk bed of sorts with a desk beneath. The thing was falling apart and completely infested with silverfish. Needless to say, this was taken out before we even moved in! It took several hours and a sledge hammer, but it came down.

THE TRANSITION
We had to take all of the wood off of the walls (sound familiar?) and demo the crazy bed. It took me a hour to drag that huge chair to the curb so that a charity organization could come and pick it up too. Once we got started the paneling popped off of the walls pretty easily. We uncovered some gnarly wall damage too, but after ensuring it wasn't mold, we were able to cover it up with primer without a problem.
AFTER
We finished the room by painting it the same Comfort Grey from the living room, and bringing in our bed, scrolled headboard, and the bureau I refinished myself. A mirror and accessories went a long way toward making that corner of the room double as an "entry" for the house since it's the first thing you see when you walk through our front door. We would like to add more art to the room, put a bookshelf in the corner and add a few more accessories, but we're done for now.
